We are pleased to announce the release of the Software Collection Library 3.2のリリースを発表できうれしく思っております。Software Collection Library 3.2はUnbreakable Linux NetworkおよびOracle LinuxのYumサーバからご利用いただけます。

ソフトウェア・コレクションはPerlやPHP、Pythonといったソフトウェアコンポーネントの最新機能にアクセスする必要のある開発環境で使ってもらうことを想定しています。こうした環境では、これらのコンポーネントのバージョンに依存するシステムプロセスの中断を最小限にする必要がありますが、Software Collectionsライブラリを使用すると、同じソフトウェアの複数のバージョンをシステムに同時に、中断することなく、インストールして使用できます。

Software Collectionsライブラリユーティリティ（scl）を使用して、インストール済みのSoftware Collectionsから開発ツールを実行します。sclユーティリティはインストールされている同一ソフトウェア・ユーティリティの別のバージョンが、これらのツールの実行に影響を与えないようにします。

Software Collections Libraries Available for Oracle Linux 7 (aarch64)

ARM (aarch64) プラットフォーム用のSoftware Collections Librariesに最新バージョンや新規追加するのは、Oracleだけです。これらはOracle Linux 7の最新のアップデートでのみサポートされます。x86_64プラットフォームでご利用いただけるように、完全なSoftware Collections Librariesのサブセットがaarch64でご利用いただけます。

Oracle Linux 7（aarch64）用Software Collections Librariesには、64ビットARMプラットフォーム用のコードをビルドし、提供されたカーネルに対してモジュールをコンパイルするための堅実な開発者向けツールセットを提供するoracle-armtoolset-1も追加されています。これにはaarch64版UEK R5をビルドする際に利用するgccコンパイラ ver 7.3が含まれています。
